Why you may be falling back into old patterns, over and over again

I've been working with women on nutrition and health for half a decade, and I've learned and grown so much through the process. I deeply love the way we can heal through functional nutrition, and I've seen the power of food work time and time (and time) again. I've offered 90-day programs, 6-month programs, detoxes, and much more. I've watched women lose weight, gain energy, and conquer health issues that had plagued them for years.

But the truth is, while I've seen many women rock programs whole-heartedly, I've also seen many fall back into old habits, only to see the weight come back, the energy disappear, and the hormones go whack-a-doodle again.

Have you tried everything to lose weight and get healthy only to see the weight come back (or not budge)? Do you fall back into old patterns?

Yep. Me too.

I witness women work on their bodies so intensely that it seems miserable. It looks and feels like punishment. Like deprivation. Like No. Fun. At. ALL.

So, here's what I've learned from all of this. And what I believe (and have witnessed) with all of my heart and soul are the missing pieces to finding lasting health, wellness, energy, weight, you name it:

It all boils down to this: body-love, body wisdom, and mindset mastery

Yeah, I know this sounds kind of "woo-woo" and new agey, but let's get real here. How many of you would raise your hand if I asked how many times you've said to yourself, "Oh god, I hate my thighs," or, "I have to wear baggy shirts to hide my belly." Or, "I'm not good enough." Well no more, ladies.

LoveYourBody

Body love is the secret to change. Negative self-talk not only creates a loop of unhappiness and sabotage, but it also creates stress in your body-stress that releases cortisol into your blood so not only are you living in inner-critic land, you're also hindering your ability to digest food and release weight (among all the other health issues created by excess cortisol). Learn to make peace with your body. Stop the body bashing. Love yourself exactly as you are now. It's the only way to achieve all the outcomes you seek - naturally, with ease. And with so much more joy.

Body wisdom is a vital part of this equation. How do you identify what your body truly craves? Do you know how to listen to your body and what she really needs? When does emotional eating come in? We use food for myriad reasons: for connection, but also for soothing, to fill up the loneliness hole, boredom, stress, and on it goes. So many of us have also lost sight of which food actually nourishes us and which foods are hindering our health. The tools I use with my clients are powerful and allow you to begin to slowly understand this part of yourself - to discover what kind of hungry you are. With enough practice, your cravings will stop ruling you.

Mindset mastery enables you to shift your focus, beliefs, and intentions. By being intentional that this is your time, you're ready for transformation, eager to jump out of bed in the morning with energy, slide into your clothes with ease, ready to feel free in your mind about being confident in how you feel and look. Get intentional that you're ready for all of these things to come into your life. Because...you deserve it. We all deserve to be healthy and happy.

So: are you ready? What's motivating you to get healthy? To say yes to getting everything you want in your life?

Get quiet, go deep, and be brave - and write it down.

Ask yourself: Why do you want this? Challenge any thoughts that come into your head about your not being good enough, that you don't have enough time, enough money, enough energy. Set those thoughts aside and set your intention on getting truly healthy.
